Prerequisites: Prerequisites are indicated in the Self-Service Course Catalog. Students will be permitted to register for courses requiring prerequisites provided 1) they have already successfully completed the prerequisite or 2) they are currently registered for the prerequisite (s) at the time of registration.
LA+D students may take online courses on a case-by-case basis with approval of academic advising and faculty mentor. CLAS students may take online courses on a case-by-case basis with approval of their academic advisor.
The University offers students the opportunity to engage in independent study with a faculty mentor to pursue interests in topics not available in the regular curriculum. An independent study may be undertaken for 1 to 6 credits.
The policy regarding withdrawal from courses becomes effective after the add/drop period terminates. If a student withdraws from a course or from the college prior to the end of the twelfth week of the semester* or prior to the end of the sixth week for accelerated courses, they will receive a grade of "W" on their transcript.
