What Is An Income Sharing Agreement (ISA) In an effort to help students reduce or avoid student loans, colleges across the United States are creating ISA programs. These programs work by giving students a certain amount of money towards tuition per school year.
Some require an upfront deposit, although the deposit could be applied as a credit toward your deferred tuition before or after you leave school. Here's a list of the top 10 bootcamps that offer an ISA option.
How it works: Students pay $2,000 deposit when they enroll in the bootcamp. Tuition is deferred until graduates finds a job earning $40,000 per year. Once graduates find a job earning $40,000 per year, they will pay monthly installments of 10% of their income for no more than 2 years or until they hit the cap.
That's why we're proud to announce the launch of the Flatiron School On-Campus Income Share Agreement (ISA) in New York. An ISA is a form of deferred tuition that can help students focus on their education — and not their tuition.
Based on data from over 620 bootcamp programs offered by about 130 bootcamp providers collected by BestColleges in 2020, the median bootcamp tuition was $13,500 and the average cost was $13,579. The priciest bootcamps charge more than $20,000, while the least expensive cost a few thousand dollars.
Most students rely on a private lender in order to pay for their coding bootcamp. Private lenders such as Affirm, Ascent Funding, Upstart, Earnest, and Climb Credit offer coding bootcamp loans. This makes it easier for students to afford their education. Loans offered by private lenders usually have shorter terms.
Income share agreements are a bad idea. And not only are they a bad idea, but you could also end up paying more post-graduation than with another type of alternative funding.
Income share agreements allow students to start a bootcamp with no or very little money down. Once the student graduates from the bootcamp and finds a tech job, they then pay the bootcamp a fixed percentage of their monthly income (usually 10-15%) for a set amount of time (typically 2-4 years).
An ISA allows someone who doesn't want a loan obligation and doesn't want to pay tuition up front, to take a Thinkful program. Students in the Engineering Immersion program really can't have a job at the same time.
ISA is committed to providing a learning environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based upon an individual's race, color, creed, religion, national origin, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
Contact ISA at (919) 549-8288 or info@isa. org to notify us of any violation of this policy. ISA is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). ISA complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices.

or 3 installments ($30K for CA residents). If you don't get a job, you may qualify for a full refund.

An option I personally recommend is the CPT/Nutrition deal. For just $799, you can nab the ISSA CPT and ISSA Nutrition Cert.
As mentioned, ISSA CPT gives a decent, broad outlook on the essentials of health and fitness, from fundamental concepts of exercise science, nutrition, all the way to basic first aid and even the commercial/marketing approach one should take as a trainer.
ISSA stands for The International Sports Sciences Association, it is an online health and fitness certification organization founded in 1988. This organization is recognized by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). ISSA personal trainer certification program is strictly an online program.
As with most extended learning programs, you need to be 18 years or older to qualify for ISSA as well as hold a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR/AED certification.
All in all, since its inception in 1988, ISSA has steadily grown into a dominant feature on the fitness landscape and is becoming more and more relevant. It is clear that as a trainer, this is one of the most important certificates worth getting.
The ISA Certifications are the only internationally recognized Surf and SUP Instructor Certifications and set the benchmark for the Surf and SUP industries.
