Students will need to pay for up to only 8 units in per unit course fees. For example, a current UCI undergraduate student enrolling on time in 12 units of coursework will pay $2,232 in course fees ($279/unit x 8 units), a $185 campus fee, plus any applicable course materials fees.
Requirements for a bachelor’s degree include the accumulation of baccalaureate credit for a minimum of 180 quarter units with an average of at least C (grade point average of at least 2.0). A course at UCI normally offers four quarter units of credit, and, in the following text, the term “course” may be understood to carry four units.

All of our UCI Online undergraduate courses are priced at UC Irvine's current undergraduate per/unit fee: $271 per credit unit. Therefore a 4 unit course would run $1,084.

The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) Fee is required of all undergraduate students for the fall, winter, and spring quarters regardless of the number of courses taken or units carried. The fee is used to support undergraduate student efforts to reduce the campus's environmental footprint and to promote sustainable educational projects at UCI.
Graduate students studying out of the State may be eligible to pay 15 percent of Tuition. M.D. students are required to pay the full Tuition for each term in which they enroll, including the summer term. The summer term Tuition level for M.D. students will be the same as that of the previous spring term.
The entire annual fee is charged for the fall quarter. Nonresident Supplemental Tuition is required of all students who have been classified as nonresidents for tuition purposes for that quarter or semester and are ineligible for any exemptions from Nonresident Supplemental Tuition.
