Dear girl I saw across campus today

You were so beautiful. I saw you coming out of the amazon lockers when I was at sather gate. Even though it was about 350 ft away and I didn't really see your face at all, you just took my breath away with your black hair and ASSC hoodie. You didn't notice me either. Maybe we should hang out sometime or something. Can I get your number?

A GREAT etiquette reminder for new students! (Freshman I'm looking at you)

I would like to preface by saying that being accepted here is no easy feat, and congratulations to all the new Golden bears! This is in no way a minimalization of the great efforts of those who have partaken to reach here and I am very happy you are here plus so so excited for what Cal has to offer for you. Hoo-rah you shining beauties.

Today R2 descendants are found at the highest levels among the Burusho people of Pakistan.

Where is the Haplogroup R1A located?

Its most widely found subbranch, called R-M417 today centers in Eastern Europe, and also in Central Asia and Southern India.

What does each number after R mean?

Each of the 8 numbers/letters after R represents a more specific grouping of people that becomes more discerning at each level. There are many millions (billions?) of people in haplogroup R, but at the level of the last ‘letter a’ on the end there are far fewer in comparison.
