I started the course on September 16, 2019, and finished November 11, 2019; Just shy of 2 months. The first 2 and last 2 weeks are pretty easy and can be bundled up together.
Three weeks, but I spent a lot of time on it. 4-5 hours a day on that course plus other things, like learning Python. If you like the NN stuff, I highly recommend checking out cs231n. 2

It turns out that it's really difficult to write good programming assignments for a course, and Andrew Ng does a really good job. It's one of the best-run technical courses on Coursera. The main reason is that the programming assignments are substantial and require a solid understanding of the material to complete.
Andrew Ng's original Machine Learning course is still the best introductory course out there in my opinion, even if it may be a bit dated. If you follow it up with his recent series on deep learning, you have a powerful one-two punch that will kickstart your machine learning journey.

If you have maths background, then with little focus you can understand it very well. But if you have difficulty in maths then this course is very difficult for you. Machine learning and deep learning is all about maths. Linear algebra, calculus, stats are very important for ML.
No it's not enough to complete a machine learning course by Andrew Ng from Coursera or any other website. Andrew Ng course is one of the best foundational course for machine learning. The course is intended for those who want to start learning Machine Learning.
