As a USU student, you have access to over 60,000 online journals, nearly 2 million print books and journals, 7,600,000 e-books, and 480,000 government publications. You can access almost all of our online resources from anywhere with an internet connection with your A-number and password.
Databases are searchable collections of articles from academic and professional journals, magazines, newspapers and books. USU Libraries subscribes to many databases, giving you access to information with your A-number and password.
Research guides help students navigate and find libra ry resources and research tools for a specific subject or class. Every course has a research guide – just look for the "Research Help" tab in Canvas.
The Information Commons is a large, open access computer lab with a Virtual Reality Lab, 3D printers, a one-button recording studio, IT help, printing, copying, and scanners. For detailed information, see Technology in the Library page.
The following policies apply to books in the general circulating collection.
Library staff are available to make student IDs 8:00 am - 7:00 pm (Monday - Thursday) or 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (Friday). Please bring a photo ID and your A-number, and come prepared to have your picture taken.
The following items are available can be checked out for 3 hours from the circulation desk:
General circulating books can be renewed up to 2 times unless a hold has been placed by another patron.
Holds will reserve an item for you as soon as the item is returned. Holds can be placed on items by viewing them in the catalog or from the homepage quick search.
Members of the community are eligible for a library card for no cost. This card doesn't expire and allows you to check out up to 10 books for 3 weeks.
If we don't have the title you need, you can request books from other libraries using interlibrary loan or by checking them out from other partner libraries in Utah.

USU Libraries’ Outdoor Recreation Catalogs & Magazines collection represents an ongoing effort to collect outdoor catalog and recreation publications.
You will know how much you owe for tuition and fees once you have finished registering before Aggie Orientation. You are not required to pay them at Aggie Orientation, however. There are tuition and fee payment deadlines for each semester. The University does not send you a bill.

The online job board is available at Aggie Handshake. This contains a list of both on-campus and off-campus job opportunities. Most students start applying for jobs a month or two before the semester starts, but jobs open all the time so it's important to keep checking back.
Utah State employs over 6,500 people and most of these employees are students.
The Utah State Campus Store has all books for classes offered at Utah State. Once you have your schedule of classes, go to https://my.usu.edu/ and select the "My Course Booklist" on the left side. This site allows you to shop for your needed textbooks and purchase them in advance.
Contact the housing office at (435)-797-3113 for move-in dates for your semester. There are lists at the bottom of the University Housing website including packing lists. These lists include move-in information or visit https://www.usu.edu/housing/rates/#dates2 for Spring.
If you are living on campus you will have the opportunity to purchase a parking permit for your specified parking lot after you have signed up for housing through the website below. If you are living off-campus, there are a few shuttle routes that serve parking areas and local apartment complex areas.
