There is no set amount of time it will take to complete a bachelor’s degree while attending classes part-time. Generally, it will take more than four years to complete, and it’s good to note that some schools require that students complete their degree within a certain timeframe, such as eight years.
College credits are the measurement standards of a student’s proficiency. It measures how much effort, time and dedication a student puts in to complete a semester, year or degree. Colleges calculate credits by the number of hours put into a course, usually over the course of 15 weeks. Usually, college credits don’t expire .
The simple answer is that it’s very important for a student to complete a college’s expected number of credits and study hours. Failing to do so will result in an unfinished degree, which would require you to take another year or more in your college program.
Fulfilling degree requirements can be stressful, especially when you think about how many credits you need to graduate college. The bottom line is that you need 120 credit hours or 130 credit hours in order to get your bachelor’s degree.

All 9th graders must be enrolled in a Physical Education Course., All 11th and 12th graders who have received 20 credits must have access to elective PE courses.

9th grade students who fail to pass 5 of 6 sections of the State Mandated Physical Fitness Test are required to enroll in a PE course during the 10th grade. Passing the Physical Fitness Test in 5th 7th or 9th grade does not exempt the 20 credit requirement to graduate from high school.
Students with disabilities intending to earn a regular high school diploma must complete the District’s credit and course requirements. Students with disabilities may receive accommodations and/or modifications in these required courses, as specified in the IEP or 504 Plan.
All 11th and 12th graders who have received 20 credits must have access to elective PE courses. While PE is not an A-G required course, it is a graduation requirement. Students enrolled in FITL2 can receive PE and A-G credit.
Academic credit for additional major and minor coursework beyond course requirements as notes on a student’s degree plan may be used for institutional grade point average purposes and does not increase the total required hours for the degree program.
