When a correspondence/distant learning course is used, the course name and year will not appear, however the “Correspondence CRS Total # Hrs” will update with the appropriate number of hours. So if your S1 were to use a “resident course code” for a correspondence course, they would be absolutely wrong.
On the ERB under section 4 it will list it as hours, Therefore the total hours that would be listed would be 400-450 depending on the 80-90 points that you could get for SPC-SGT and SGT-SSG. There's an ATTRS transcript that details everything I've done that counted as hours on my ERB on their website. (It's a pretty disappointing list now that I think about it.) I can PM you mine in the next week or two (in the field) as a guide to what you can finish. Most PDFs out there are outdated. I have over 500 hours.

The Air Force is more "by the book" but the Army is more physically demanding. You can get away with a LOT more in the Army than in the Air Force.

No! On JKO, there is an option in the catalog to select courses that are worth DL points (see attached photo). Make sure you only take courses that JKO has annotated are worth points! Otherwise, needless to say, they won't count towards promotion.
