You can drop one or more classes during the designated add/drop period. Dropped classes do not appear on your transcript.
You can withdraw from one or more courses during the designated withdrawal period. A grade of WX will appear on your transcript if you withdraw from a class.
The most common way to drop or withdraw from a course is online. To drop or withdraw from a course, access the Course Drop and Course Withdrawal Request Form and follow the steps listed on the form.

Adding and dropping classes can be done via AccessPlus with limited access after the first day of classes. If you would like to add or drop a course please first check AccessPlus.
While some programs have earlier and/or specific application deadlines, priority deadlines for applications to be completed and returned to the Graduate School are: April 1 for summer semester enrollment, April 1 for fall semester enrollment. November 15th for spring semester enrollment.
Some departments and doctoral admission have higher standards. Generally, students applying for admission to a doctoral program must hold a master's degree and must have achieved at least the 50th percentile in one of the aptitude sections (V/Q/A) of the GRE.
