We accept credit/debit, a check or PayPal as a form of payment. Students have the option of paying for the tuition in full prior to starting the Online Program or paying monthly through TFC, Tuition Financing Company. Through TFC, we are able to set-up payment contracts up to 30 months of tuition payments without interest fees or credit checks.
While The Professional Massage Academy does not offer career placement, we do conduct our Hands-On Training in partner clinics which gives each Student an opportunity to get acclimated to a professional work environment, it’s employees and management.
The Professional Massage Academy and it’s curricula is reviewed and approved annually by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. The Office of Higher Education provides consumer protection for students and prospective students.
First, students complete a minimum of 250 hours of classroom instruction, where they are challenged to develop and refine their technical skills in massage. In addition, the students must complete rigorous coursework including the study of human musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology.
Required to complete at least 12 hours of continuing education each year. In addition to providing massage, advanced training is a key way that instructors can continue to enhance their skill. Hydrotherapy – 20 Hours: Students will learn to use hydrotherapy in a safe and effective manner through demonstrations and hands-on practice. Types of hydrotherapy to be discussed include: whirlpool, hot and cold packs, paraffin, steam, body wraps, body scrubs, Vichy showers, and facials.
Deep tissue massage is what we specialize in. Third, many of our students opt for advanced coursework, where they can learn additional therapies and skills such as trigger point massage, facials, body wraps, and people skills.
In addition to the 500 hour course, AMTT also offers a 570 Hour Program.
