I took this course approximately three years ago, and recently took a look at it again and thought I could share my thoughts on if it is worth your time in 2021.

No it's not enough to complete a machine learning course by Andrew Ng from Coursera or any other website. Andrew Ng course is one of the best foundational course for machine learning. The course is intended for those who want to start learning Machine Learning.
This course provide a lot of basic knowledge for anyone who don't know machine learning still learn. Once again, I would like to say thank to Professor Andrew Ng and all Mentor. Excellent starting course on machine learning. Beats any of the so called programming books on ML.

The structure of the course is pretty standard with video lectures, quizzes and programming assignments. I think one thing that is also really great is that there are pop up questions during the lectures which makes you think about the material and I felt it improved my retention. Generally I would say the lectures are easy to follow.
I guess going into too much detail of what you will learn wouldn’t be too interesting because you probably don’t know what any of the words mean yet. Let’s do it anyways, lol. After you have completed the course you won’t be some machine learning master who knows how to solve all of humanity’s problems.
Finding flaws in this course is basically NP-Complete, meaning the following analysis took a lot of compute. Personally I’d say the biggest cons are these:
