A: Yes, BLS Instructors are authorized to teach all Heartsaver-level courses, including Heartsaver First Aid, Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED and Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED. Instructors must have a copy of the appropriate Instructor manual for the course that they are teaching.
A: The online portion (Part 1) of the AHA Heartsaver First Aid Online With CPR & AED course generally takes students between 2 and 3 hours. Students may take the course in one sitting, or break it up into several sessions depending on individual needs.

Heartsaver CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve chocking on adult victim. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning skills.
