What is the Binghamton University IRB?

The Binghamton University IRB requires a basic level of training in protection of human subjects for all study team members , including investigators from other institutions, listed on active IRB protocols regardless of the funding source. For research suppported by the DoD, components (accounting entities or branches such as the Department of the Air Force) may evaluate the educational policies to ensure the personnel are qualified to perform the research, based on the complexity and risk of the research. If research involving a DoD component requires more frequent or other training requirements in addition to those that Binghamton University requires, the investigator will be responsible for ensuring that the training is completed for those involved in the conduct of the research. Researchers should contact the human research protection officer of the DoD component for their education requirements and obtain documentation confirming the requirements.

5. PHYS 525 - Quantum Mechanics II

Taken by the senior student, if through the are other few courses on Quantum Mechanics this one is a bit hard you will have to memorize many complex theories such as scattering theory, time-dependent perturbation theory, relativistic quantum, it one the mind-boggling course try it you will have the story to tell.

6. MATH 304 - Linear Algebra

Are you a kid of the 20 century I know you remembering the Gobman that computer game, how was it? I know the answer is so easy at the first level but harder as you progress, so the linear algebra is like that so easy at the introduction but complex as you advance.

7. CHEM 332 - Organic Chemistry II

Did find CHEM 231 hard? If the answer is yes just imagine how the advancement would be like. In this course, student covers volume of information which entails synthesis, structures, and mechanisms of reactions of organic compounds. In this, there are just a few maths, but the content will require serious studying to pass that exam.

1. EVOS 105 – Evolution For Everyone

Teaches the basic principles of evolution; why evolution provides a unifying framework for the study of biology and humans; selected topics showing how various aspects of human behavior may be studied from an evolutionary perspective, from mating to religion.

2. MUS 115 – Pop, Rock, and Soul Musics

3. CINE 121 – Experience History and Analysis of Cinema

Expanding appreciation and perception of cinematic works as expressive form. How history shapes cinema and how cinema shapes history.

4. GEOG 101 – Intro To Geography

Introduction to the major subfields of geography using maps and spatial data at local, regional and global scales. Issues of global significance are examined by comparing and contrasting the experience of core regions, such as Europe and the United States, to other world regions.

5. SOC 100 – Social Change

Situates contemporary processes of large-scale social change within a broader historical framework; focuses on race, class, gender, ethnicity, inequality, work, consumption, and world-economy.

6. GEOG 151 – World Regional Geography

The world is partitioned into major regions or realms for comparison. The geographic similarities and differences between them are examined. The central theme is the interrelationship among nature, society and location. The roles of human institutions and how they vary and affect each other across the world are discussed.

7. THEA 102 – Introduction To Theater

Designed for non-majors, this course introduces the student to the various aspects of Theatre arts. Through textbook and play readings, guest artists, class discussions and viewing/critiquing live performances, the student develops a basic Theatre vocabulary and appreciation for this most collaborative of art forms.
