The Mountain Leader assessment is 5 days long and includes a two night expedition. Assessments are run by one of our approved providers and a variety of cost packages are available, depending on what's included; food, accommodation etc. so you can choose one that's right for you.
12/ How long is the training course valid for? Once you have completed a Mountain Leader training course, or in fact any of Mountain Training's award scheme training courses, it is valid forever.
It should be noted however that one of the prerequisites for registering onto the MCI is holding the Mountain Leader: this qualification is on the framework at a qualification level 3 - which is equivalent of a European Qualification Framework EQF level 4.
