We offer four physician assistant programs, with separate ARC-PA accreditations, and different schedules. The BS/MS programs in Long Island/NUMC is a traditional program with a more accelerated schedule–the program is completed in 28 months.
You can enroll in our 7-semester, 28-month professional program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA), on our Central Islip campus or the Nassau University Medical Center Extension (NUMC).

The first 12 months, divided into three consecutive semesters, are devoted to didactic work in the basic sciences, medicine, behavioral sciences, and research methodologies. The clinical phase is divided into three semesters over 16 months, which consists of three clinical semesters and one culminating semester.
Taken in 7-semesters over 28-month, including 15 week summer semesters, the program is a lockstep curriculum. All students must complete the same coursework throughout the 28 months regardless of past degrees. No student can be exempted from any coursework.

The Class of 202 1 has a 89% first-time pass rate. Of the 46 students who have taken the PANCE, 41 (89%) passed on the first try. T hree students have passed their retake exam.
