two yearsHow often must I renew my Connecticut real estate license? Real estate salespersons and brokers in Connecticut must renew their licenses every two years. The deadline to renew for brokers is March 31st of even years; for salespersons is May 31st of even years. The next renewal year is 2020.
You may take the examination on an unlimited basis for up to one year from the date of eligibility. You must pass both portions of the examination within one (1) year of eligibility. If you do not pass both portions within one year, you must reapply with the PSI.
To pass, you must correctly answer at least 75% of the questions correctly. The salesperson exam consists of 80 national questions and 30 state-specific questions. To pass, you must correctly answer at least 70% of the questions correctly. You will receive your score immediately on your computer screen.
