Once a course has been started: ServSafe Food Handler courses must be completed in 60 days. ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Alcohol courses must be completed in 90 days. After a course has expired, a student will not be able to access that course. A new one will need to be purchased.

75%Certification Process A passing score is 75% or higher. This is obtained by answering at least 60 out of 80 questions correctly. The exam has 90 questions; however there are 10 pilot questions that are for research purposes only.

The ServSafe Manager Certification is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) under the Conference for Food Protection Standards.
After the ServSafe® Allergens Online Course and Assessment has been purchased, it can be accessed in Course Management. Click on the Students tab and then Take Online Course. Please note, a User ID and Password for ServSafe.com is required. If you do not have one, select “Create New Profile” when prompted.

The ServSafe Food alcohol exam requires a passing score of 75% , which equals 30 correct questions. However, the passing grade for the ServSafe Alcohol Advanced exam is 80%. Note – ServSafe offers an Alcohol Cruise Line course for those professionals who work for and in the cruise line industry.
The candidate must follow the National Restaurant's Association appeals policy, which requires the candidate to submit a detailed written request to customer service within 30 days after receiving ServSafe’s revocation or denial.

An Exam Access Code is a unique code that verifies that you have purchased the exam and enables you to access and take an online exam. If you do not pass the ServSafe Alcohol state specific quiz, you will be able to reuse the original exam access code until you take the online examination.

You have 2 hours to complete the exam and you must score at least 75% in order to pass. The exam is available online and in a written version and both require that a certified proctor be present during testing. If you have not taken a food safety course or done quite a bit of self-study, you will fail.
Currently the 7th Edition in late 2019. Of course, you could buy one from the ServSafe website but you don’t have to. Maybe your local public library has one. Check the college, vo-tech and university libraries too, especially if they have a culinary program. Or ask around, maybe a coworker has one.
The ServSafe food manager is the highest (out of 4) certifications. Basically, it’s this person’s duty to monitor the safety of the food in a foodservice operation. And to instruct other employees on how to do the same. This is usually in addition to other regular duties.
Passing the ServSafe Managers Test. So you need to pass the ServSafe Managers test in order to get your food managers certification. Either you are the owner of a food establishment or the manager of one. Or maybe you need this as part of your school curriculum. But it could be just another thing to add to your resume.
