The students will be required to come to daily sessions which will last anywhere between one to four hours. In most cases, the student work in groups while on the school program which lasts 30 minutes to 2 hours.
As life-changing as Lindamood-Bell is for many children, the truth is that Lindamood-Bell instruction is very expensive. Many learning centers charge as much as $95 per hour, and the recommendation is often for daily tutoring (1-2 hours after school) or an intensive summer session of 4 hours a day for anywhere from 2-12 weeks.
Lindamood–Bell uses multiple senses, like sound, sight and touch, to help with learning. Instructors evaluate students and present parents with a learning plan geared to their child’s needs. Students meet one-on-one with an instructor for sessions that last one to four hours.
We see students up to 30 sessions for five days a week over several weeks, while most other academic educational services schedule one or two instructional sessions per week over many months. Depending on the instruction appropriate for your child, there are several options that can reduce the weekly fees.
Lindamood-Bell does not offer certification. However, all participants receive a letter of completion. Our workshops allow participants to earn CEUs and post-graduate professional development credit. Refresher courses and coaching options are available for teachers to continue their professional development.
I believe the Lindamood Bell programs are well worth the training cost for providing the program at home. If you have the time and ability to work with your own child, then I'd say, “GO FOR IT!” In terms of your child's lifetime, even the center's cost could be worth it.

What time does the school day start/end? The school day begins at 8:00 a.m. (local time) and ends at 2:45 p.m. (local time) for all Lindamood-Bell Academy students.
The lunch period is an hour for all students. This includes time for special activities including movement, STEM, and Art. Some sites have access to outdoor space. Students also receive breaks between classes and also have a 15 minute morning break.
These skills include the connection of letters into sounds the process of blending sounds into words. With this approach, the students do master one skill before you can move on to the next skill. Other than teaching, the students also read some words.

Can high school classes taken over the summer transfer into my son or daughter’s high school?
The Lindamood-Bell method was designed as a therapeutic (non-school) intervention for children with severe language processing disabilities (includingd yslexia, cognitive deficits, dysgraphia and dyscalalia). The approach is structured and progressive, and is designed to move at the pace of the child. Depending on the severity of the problem, one child could progress through the program in a few months, while another could take much more than a year to master the same set of skills.
Students are taught that there are 44 distinct sounds that makeup the English language and are shown the relationship between these sounds (phonemes), letters (graphemes) and letter combinations, using structured lessons and controlled word lists. Once they have mastered the building blocks, students are gradually presented with the associations between letters, blends and words, with the relationship between sound and text explored progressively.Students are taught both consistent and inconsistent features of reading, writing and spelling, such as digraphs, and diphthongs, in a controlled, progressive,and structured manner.

Based on the method, content, anecdotes and available research, Lindamood Bell reading programs are an excellent choice for dyslexics.
