This is my last week of my semester for HIT degree and medical coding certification

I was advised by one of my professors that I should lean towards taking my RHIT certification first before going for my CCA/CCS. Any advice on RHIT exam? I have the exam prep guide (purple/pink book) which I plan on going through and other than that I just need to schedule a day to take the exam.

Because I'm not finding any in my area at all. I'm in Tampa, Florida. I'm looking everywhere. Hospitals, medical groups, insurance companies. These jobs don't exist. Not even for certified coders like myself. You people who have been working in this field are unicorns. Not sure how anyone gets started when no one wants to hire you.
