Your completion date is defined as the completion date of your course as stated on your CAS statement. You will be able to work for a maximum of 4 months after the completion date of your course or up until the expiry date of your visa, whichever is soonest. Post Study Work Visa will not lead to settlement in the UK. Those who wish to later apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) will need to switch to an immigration route that will lead to a settlement, for example, a Skilled Worker visa.
Can I apply for the Graduate route more than once? No, students will only be eligible to apply for this route once in their lifetime. At the end of the Graduate route visa period, students will be expected to switch to a different immigration category, such as Skilled Work route, or leave the UK.

For a student who has completed his studies from New Zealand, the first step towards granting of a PR is the 2-year post-study visa. Mark our words, its the first step and not a sure shot way to get the PR. This visa would allow you to hunt for a job and work in the country for 2 years initially.
