Withdrawing From a Class A student can drop or withdraw by logging into MySFCC > Applications > Registration Tools > Drop or Withdraw, the online system, or submit a request in writing to the Enrollment and Student Services.
Fill out a Change of Information Form and submit to student central. Schedule an appointment (614-287-2074) to meet with your International Student Adviser to discuss your plan and to request a new form I-20. When you change major, it must also be changed on your I-20.
The contract outlines the requirements the student must fulfill as a condition of the reinstatement of their eligibility for aid. Remedial courses have course numbers under 100. Students can receive financial aid for up to 45 remedial credits. The 45 credits are in addition to the credits required to graduate.
The federal financial aid satisfactory academic progress regulations will change effective July 1, 2011.
Students placed on Financial Aid Warning may receive financial aid for one additional quarter. The student must earn a 2.00 GPA each quarter and a 2.00 cumulative GPA at the end of the 6th quarter of attendance at SFCC. The Financial Aid Office is required to track your progress toward degree completion.
A student's cumulative GPA is below 2.00 at the end of the 6th quarter of attendance at SFCC. A student officially or unofficially withdraws from all classes. Census Day. At SFCC, Census Day falls on the 10th day of the quarter for Fall, Winter and Spring quarters and on the 8th day of Summer quarter. Per financial aid regulations, no changes to financial aid awards can be made after the Census Day.
Any tuition refund may be used to offset the amount the student owes to the school or to the federal or state program (s). If the refund exceeds what must be returned to the federal or state program (s), the remaining balance is refunded to the student.
You can avoid this repayment by not dropping any classes the first 10 days of the quarter. If you owe a repayment of student aid funds, the Finance Office will apply all credits on your account, such as tuition refunds to reduce the amount you must repay. Repayments can never be waived by the college for any reason.
Students who received (or who are eligible to receive) federal financial aid and who withdraw from all classes for the quarter are subject to a return of funds recalculation (called R2T4) of their awards based on the amount of aid earned.

Once awarded, academic renewal cannot be revoked. Students will typically apply for academic renewal as soon as they are eligible, but students may apply at anytime after they meet the qualifications and do not need to be currently enrolled to apply.
Students may apply for forgiveness of D and F grades due to an absence of four years from credit study or because they have changed their program of study. The adjusted GPA will be used for determining academic standing to include suspension, probation, good standing, honors and dean's list.
