The Best Online Bachelor's in Computer Science Programs
I stated previously that I think CS50 is fantastic. It helps you understand a lot of the core CS concepts, and then gives you the confidence to build cool projects. It is very difficult and fast-paced, but if you stick with it, I think it will pay off.

CS50 on EdX is an excellent course, but it is effectively three courses in one in a slightly non-traditional MOOC style, so how useful it is to you depends on how you use it. Do not expect to complete a “week” of the course every week if starting from scratch.

I managed to finish my CS50x 'Any% speedrun' in a month and a half, spending nearly 250 hours on the full course. That's more than some of the video games I play, and I play a lot!

Is it worth getting a verified certificate from CS50 on edX? 100% absolutely. Not only will you have it forever to show to future employers, but you also have the intangibles that come with that: You are a self-directed learner.
What is CS50/CPSC 100? CS50 is an introduction to the intellectual enterprises of computer science and the art of programming. It is run jointly with Harvard. Although it is officially listed as CPSC 100 here at Yale, we typically refer to the course as CS50.
Not very useful at all, to someone with those qualifications, unless they want to learn C in a weird environment. I'd recommend it after a Python-based introduction to programming and computer science, and CS50 is very much programming over CS!
CS50 is Harvard's computer science course for very beginners.) CS50 is a very good course for a beginner, especially if you wanna grab the whole picture of programming but not going deeper too much. It starts with learning C, so you can learn the basic concepts of memory address and pointer.
On edX, CS50 doesn't include a free certificate. Instead, it offers a paid verified certificate, which costs $150. Harvard OCW, which is Harvard's open online course platform.
