Instructors make themselves available in different ways when they teach online than when they teach in person. You have to be able and willing to seek out help in these online forms.

In my personal opinion, Online Math classes are the worst. They are beyond awful. Of course, you are going to have students who can excel online. No question about it. Those students are outliers and would have succeeded in any kind of format. For the general population, I believe students learn way more if they are face-to-face. You have more opportunities to ask the teacher questions. You get to hear questions other students ask. When your are on zoom, it’s way too easy to be distracted. Not everyone has the camera on, and I can’t mandate everyone to turn on their camera. I do believe it’s easier to cheat being an online student.
