PohlCat, located in the heart of Michigan, is a championship-style course played over, and around, the scenic 100-foot wide Chippewa River. The course was designed by former PGA Tour pro, and Mt. Pleasant native, Dan Pohl. There are plenty of similarities between the great PGA Tour courses Dan played and the tough, but fair, design of PohlCat.
PohlCat offers golfers one of the area’s most expansive practice facilities. Featuring a driving range, chipping green and two putting greens. This area was designed to give golfers the opportunity to practice shots/putts they will experience on the course.

Four sets of tees provide players with the option of playing from 6954, 6258 , 5812 and 5140 yards, with a top slope/course rating of 140/74.2. There are 56 sand bunkers located along the tree lined fairways and greenside, with a mix of open and tight driving holes. Impeccible greens, tees, and fairways wind in and out of wooded and links style golf holes that make for a remarkable Michigan golf experience. The well conditioned putting surfaces are oversized with some devious slopes and undulations. On course golfers will find indicators on the flag sticks for front, middle and back pin placements, sprinkler heads that are measured to the center of the green, 150 yard poles in the middle of the fairways and 100, 150 and 200 yard markers.
