Desert Falls is in a seasonal transition state with dead grass as we head into the winter. The greens were rough - but it may be a seasonal thing in this area . All in all we played with another couple and had a good time. The club was closed when we finished our round at about 2:30. The course plays long and you will play your second round better than your first because there were some challenging bunkers, slopes, water hazards.
Desert Falls' overall condition has improved over the past year. Most of the greens are smooth and cut for this time of year in the desert. The bunkers, of which I found a few during the round, don't have much sand in some places and makes shots difficult. Overall it's a venerable older valley course in good condition and worth playing again.
