According to the Golf Around the World report published by the R & A in 2019, there are 125 golf facilities in the Philippines, but only around half are registered with the National Golf Association of the Philippines.
The 192-yard 16th is regarded as the signature hole at Sherwood Hills and this par three plays slightly uphill to a green that falls away on the left into a nest of deep bunkers.
Local favourite Frankie Minoza won the first of these in 1998 and American Edward Michaels won the last in 2004.
The East course is a bit longer running at 7,317 yards, and is a bit harder to play of the two courses here.
The West Course is more suitable for the average golfer. It is a bit shorter in length running at 6,540 yards, and easier to play compared to the East Course.
