To Edit a Course in Garmin Connect web
Tap on your course, pull up the elevation card from the bottom and scroll all the way down. There’s a button to edit the course. Tap that to go into the course name to edit it. I don’t know why Garmin wouldn’t add the edit option to the top right menu but there you have it.

This is with Garmin Connect in a web browser. Edit: I found the solution. You have to move the mouse cursor to a point along the track. And you have to be very precise, within 1-2 pixels. Then the mouse cursor will change from an open hand to a pointing finger.

Hi, there is a very quick, simple way to create courses from laps, using Garmin Training Center. So, check out the panel on the left, with "My Activities", select the Activity from where you want to convert one lap to a course, press right mouse button on it and export the activity to a file.
