Norsefire represented hardline conservative ideals, and stressed their values through religion.

Many scenes and actions of the movie mirror that of America’s past events. However, this movie was meant to show totalitarian government. The entire nation was being controlled from media right down to curfew. People were not allowed to criticize or question the king or Parliament, and there was no such thing as privacy. People had to constantly pay more and more for necessities. Totalitarian governments control many aspects of the citizens’ lives. Early on in the movie, speakers were placed all around blocks, announcements were made about curfews. There was only a single station that broadcast most of the news and entertainment. However, when his best friend Mercutio is killed by Tybalt, Romeo becomes enraged and seeks his revenge on Tybalt.
He kills Paris, however because of Romeo’s developed character, he shows remorse and carries Paris’s body into the vault and lays it beside Juliet. Romeo sees Juliet lying in the tomb, and swallows the poison. This shows that Romeo is driven by emotion and his total and uncompromising love for Juliet.
In Act one Scene 5, she first meets Romeo at the party. They instantly fall in love and the audience first sees her romantic nature.
At the end of the play he has developed into a headstrong youth who is capable of making his own decisions. Juliet first appears as a polite young girl who obeys her parents. At the end of the play she has developed into a mature young woman who makes her own choices and arrangements.
