After purchasing the course or having it assigned to your ServSafe User ID, you can simply select "Launch" from the "Take My Course" page. If a course key was assigned to you, simply enter that key on the same page in the designated area.
Unused courses are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Once a course has been started: ServSafe Food Handler courses must be completed in 60 days. ServSafe Manager and ServSafe Alcohol courses must be completed in 90 days. After a course has expired, a student will not be able to access that course.
The ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification including class, via online access and the online exam. Class can be taken at your convenience from any internet connection. Online course does NOT include the ServSafe Book. The exam requires a Proctor be present and attendance at any of the scheduled classes for the exam portion is necessary.

Certification Process The National Restaurant Association recognizes the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification for a five-year period. The ServSafe Alcohol, ServSafe Allergens and ServSafe Food Handler Certificates are recognized for a three-year period.

An Exam Access Code is a unique code that verifies you have purchased an online exam and allows access to take the online exam. These can be purchased and then provided to the examinee prior to taking the exam. Each Exam Answer Sheet and Exam Access Code can only be used once.
