Per law, LSC is providing students with the ability to opt-out of the way LSC purchases books and supplies, and allows students opting-out to purchase books and supplies themselves.

The Compass ESL is a computer-based test that includes listening, reading, and writing. Students will also be asked to do a writing sample. ESOL faculty consider students’ Compass ESL scores as well as their writing sample when making placement decisions.

May 10, 2008. Lone Star College called and approved a $420 million bond election for May 10, 2008, which was approved by voters getting 62% of the vote. LSCS last attempt to pass more than $200 million in the bond election of November 2006 failed.

The Learning Commons is an open-space design. The furniture in the space is designed for both group and individual study needs. Partitions, tables, and mobile whiteboards can be moved around to create a study space to fit your needs. - We encourage it! - There are two collaboration stations where you can plug in your laptop and project onto a TV for the entire group to work on a project or study for a test. If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, don't worry, we have adapter cables at the service desk that you may borrow.

Log in using your 14-digit library barcode number on the back of your student (or employee) ID card and your PIN which is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number. Next, click “Login”. When you access your account you can renew your books, view your checkouts, dates due, holds, and fines by clicking the appropriate tab.
