Login to Moodle and look for the course you wish to hide or unhide in your Custom Course Menu. Click on the course name to access the course. Step 2 In your course, click Edit Settings in the Course Administration menu. Step 3 In the course settings, under General settings, you can set the course Visibility options to Hide or Show.
You can also look for your course in the main section of the Moodle homepage, underneath the “Search courses” box, in the “My courses” section. After the active courses, you will see your inactive courses listed here in approximately reverse chronological order. Your “My Courses” block is in the right column, under the “Main menu” block.
When first requested, Moodle courses are hidden from students. If requested in advance of the semester, Moodle courses are automatically released to students one business day prior to the first day of classes.
If not, it may give you a place to begin. You can turn on My Moodle as an administrator by going to the Site Administration block, Appearances and My Moodle. Click on the box that will force users to use My Moodle. This will take users as soon as they login to a screen that lists only their courses.
Faculty who use Moodle at UP may at times wish to hide their entire course from view. Common scenarios when it would be useful to hide a course: The faculty member is working on designing the course or adding content and doesn’t wish students to see the work in progress.

Courses may not be visible in Moodle until after the course has started. If you're currently enrolled in a course that has started and don't see it in the course list on your Moodle dashboard, please contact your instructor. Especially if it's early in the term, the course may not have been made visible yet.
Click the profile icon on the top right hand corner in the Moodle course. Click "Student" button and you will see the student view of the course.

Locate the course you need to unhide and click the “. . .” icon. From the menu that appears, select Show this Course. It will now appear in the applicable categories.
It can take up to 48 hours from the time a student is enrolled in Beartracks by the department until they appear in eClass.
If you are a student, note that your instructors can see whether and when you downloaded course readings, viewed links, submitted quiz answers or assignments, or posted to a forum in the courses they are teaching. They cannot see usage data about your other courses, and other students within a course.
Go to Site administration / Users / Permissions / Define roles and click the 'Allow role switches' tab. For the non-editing teacher row, make sure that the checkboxes for Student and Guest are ticked. Save changes. Click the 'Manage roles' tab and edit the non-editing teacher role.
On the Participants page, click the Profile image of the student you want reports for. The Student profile page will open. On the Student profile page, under the Reports section, click Today's logs. The Today's logs page will open showing the individual student activity of a single day throughout your Moodle course.

On many Moodle sites, users will be taken to the dashboard after logging in or it can be accessed by clicking the user menu in the nav draw. Put simply, the dashboard is a page where you have an overview of the courses that you're enrolled in and any activities which need to be given attention to.
