You have to register on ATRRS for and take on ALMS. I got through Med Sgt prep, and come January 2020 I was unable to finish the dental one and now I can’t register for the course because of my MOS does not meet the criteria. I’ve tried registering twice now, my last try was 3 weeks ago. So they might not be worth points anymore.

No! On JKO, there is an option in the catalog to select courses that are worth DL points (see attached photo). Make sure you only take courses that JKO has annotated are worth points! Otherwise, needless to say, they won't count towards promotion.
