The Care 4 Kids program makes child care affordable for low- to moderate-income families in Connecticut. With Care 4 Kids, parents get financial help for the child care they choose. To apply or get more detailed information about the program, visit the Care 4 Kids website.
Child care centers, licensed family child care, and unlicensed relatives can all be Care 4 Kids providers as long as they meet basic requirements. The requirements are different for each type of provider:

The State of Connecticut received child care relief funding through the American Rescue Plan Act. These funds have allowed Care 4 Kids to temporarily expand child care assistance to families with income up to 60% of the state median income (SMI). Click here to see the income limits for your family size. This increase in income eligibility will only remain in effect while funding received through the American Rescue Plan Act is available, so apply today!
CCEI offers professionals 150+ online child care training courses in English and Spanish to meet licensing, recognition program, and Head Start requirements . Coursework offered by CCEI is used to meet the education needs of practitioners in a range of settings, including family child care, preschool, prekindergarten, childcare centers, and more. Online child care training courses offered by CCEI cover topics applicable to the child care industry.
CCEI provides several online child care staff certification program options that meet the training requirements of the Council for Professional Recognition’s Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and CDA Renewal. Additionally, CCEI provides online certificate programs including the CCEI Early Childhood Credential (ECC), Director Credentials, state-specific certificate programs, such as the Florida Child Care Professional’s Credential (FCCPC), Texas Director’s Certificate, and several others. Programs are designed around the diverse needs of students. Certificate programs of study are self-paced, and CCEI provides access to an Education Coach and customer support services to deliver assistance, encouragement, and feedback throughout the duration of programs.

If you are eligible, Care 4 Kids will pay for child care costs during your work, school, or training time, plus travel time. Families will be responsible to pay their child care provider any costs not covered by Care 4 Kids.
Special Accommodations If you need special accommodations in order to participate in the child care training process, contact the Education Department at least two weeks prior to the first training date at (407) 532-4264 between the hours of 8am-4:30 p.m. Calls will be received Monday through Friday.

Certificates DCF Certificates can be printed by going to the link myflorida.com/childcare. Click on “View Transcript “, then under Personal Menu click “My Student Information and Transcript” and choose “Print My Certificate Tab”. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. You may download it for free by going to www.adobe.com/acrobat . If you do not have access to print your certificate, 4C will print it for a $7 fee per certificate.
Payment may be made by going on to the DCF website at myflorida.com/childcare. Click on “Training & Credentialing” then click “View Transcript,” then under “Personal Menu” click “Pay for Courses/Exams.”
The goal of the course is to assist child care programs in implementing trauma-informed care for the families they serve. This is a multi-session course (at least five instructor-led sessions), which will require the completion of outside assignments and readings. Education and training is a key component to becoming an early childhood education provider. Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc. (4C) is the Training Coordinating Agency (TCA) for Circuits 9 & 18 for the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). We provide state-mandated training and competency exams to child care providers in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties to promote the further education of teachers and other educational professionals.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Instructor-Led DCF State-Mandated Classes for the upcoming months will be offered as virtual-interactive online classes that will give students the opportunity to interact with an instructor online as out lined for the instructor-led class requirements.
