There are a variety of enrollment holds that may affect you as a student. If credit is more than 10 years old, only elective credit will be granted unless the student provides copies of course descriptions for Transfer Credit Evaluation. Credit may also be granted if the student has been employed in the field since she/he successfully completed the course.
The NSHE ID is a 10-digit number (e.g. 8000123456) and system-wide unique identifier that is automatically granted to each student, faculty and staff member within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE). All students and applicants should use this number to access MyNevada.

Like most community colleges, TMCC does not have a dormitory on campus, so students commute from the local community to TMCC by public transportation or using their own cars.

There are several tax programs for TMCC students: the Hope Tax Credit, the Lifetime Learning Tax Credit, Employer-Provided Education Assistance and Student Loan Interest Deductions.
Most email addresses at TMCC consist of the person’s first initial followed by their last name at tmcc.edu (e.g., if your instructor's name is John Smith, the email address will most likely be "[email protected]" ). However, this may not always be the case, since some instructors may share a first initial and last name.

All graduates must have completed a minimum of 32 credits in residence at Truckee Meadows Community College and 40 credits of upper-level courses for bachelor's degrees (challenge examinations, nontraditional credit, etc. do not count as resident credit).
Degree Declaration: The catalog in effect the year a student officially declares a degree, emphasis or certificate with the Admissions and Records Office.
At that time, all bachelor's degrees, associate degrees and certificates of achievement are conferred upon Fall, Spring and Summer graduates for the year.
Workforce Development and Community Education (WDCE) and Career and Technical Education (CTE) College Credit classes do not apply towards initial attendance/enrollment.
The Admissions and Records Office will automatically review your progress toward the completion of your degree for the degree that you have currently declared. We highly recommended that you meet with an Academic Advisor prior to your last semester in order to review your records and ensure all graduation requirements will be met.
Students do not need to complete a graduation application to receive a Skills Certificate. The Skills Certificate designation will automatically appear on your transcript, below the semester that you completed the requirements to receive it. Diplomas are not generated for Skills Certificates earned and students are not eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

After degree is posted. Degrees are not posted until all work for the graduating semester has been verified and completed. Degrees are also not posted before graduation or the end of term. Please expect degrees to be posted around the last week of May, first week of June.
How much does it cost to order official transcripts? The University of Nevada, Reno does not charge for transcripts being sent to another NSHE institution. However, there is a cost to order and send transcripts to non-NSHE institutions. Those costs are described in the table below.
CPE is unable to process credit cards or receive cash payments at this time. Processing time is usually 5-7 business days from the date of receipt. Transcripts are mailed to the indicated party with an official transcript seal.
CPE has ITT Technical Institute transcripts for only the Henderson campus dating from 1997 - 2000. All other transcripts are located at Parchment Records.
If the school you attended is not listed below, please contact the Commission for guidance. Many schools experience name changes and may be in operation under a new name.
You will need to contact the school for transcripts. CPE only maintains transcripts for closed institutions. We DO NOT have these records on file.
