Two computing credentials – Unity ID and password – are your keys to many NC State resources, including these:
Use this two-part procedure only to create your first password. After that, you’ll just change your password as needed.
These practices, among others, will help you keep your account from becoming compromised.
Never share your Unity credentials with anyone, not even your parents. Password sharing violates the Computer Use Regulation.
For assistance with Unity credentials, contact the NC State Help Desk via the NC State IT Service Portal or call 919.515.HELP (4357) during business hours.
The Change of Degree Application is NC State’s centralized resource for applying to add or change majors. This site contains all the information and tools you need to research majors, and to apply to change or add a new major.

A transcript is a complete copy of the student’s academic record at the time that it is issued. It contains all course work, including undergraduate, graduate and/or non-degree, taken while enrolled at NC State University.
Transcript requests are normally processed within 24–48 hours. However, a longer period of time may be required for end-of-semester processing.
The transcript is printed on “wolf” gray paper with visible red and blue colored fibers in the actual paper stock. A chain link fence watermark embedded in the paper fibers will be visible by holding it up to the light and the ink and paper have features that expose counterfeiting efforts.
Both current and alumni/former students are eligible to order a transcript online.
NC State only issues official transcripts at the authorization or written request of the student concerned. NC State will NOT issue a partial transcript; the university automatically sends all course work when a transcript is requested.
