Originally Answered: How did Mineta get into U.A.? Mineta got into U.A. because the examination only required him to immobilize the robots. His quirk Pop-Off allowed him to trap them, stick them, or even plug up their muzzles to stop them from functioning and thus racking up enough points to pass.
Examinees are given ten minutes to use their Quirks to immobilize robotic villains in order to score points depending on the individual robot's point value. The more points one examinee earns, the higher their chance is to get accepted into U.A.
As such it as a pretty low acceptance rate. With plenty of other students who may have aspired to be in UA, it is surprising that Mineta Minoru was able to get in to UA.
