Immediately before each section heading, lesson, topic & quiz, you’ll find an icon with 6 dots. When you hover over this icon, your cursor will turn into a hand. This means you can click, hold down, and drag that piece of content to another place within your course.

A primary association means that the step was associated to the course before the Shared Course Steps setting was enabled. More specifically, you will see some courses designated as the “primary course” for the related step, if the association took place before enabling shared course steps.

Is cloning lessons easier?

Cloning lessons is a bit easier. You’ll still want to make sure you go into all cloned lessons, associate them to a new course, and adjust any settings (if needed).

Is LearnDash free?

There are 3 plugins that offer the ability to clone LearnDash content, and each one provides a different set of features. One plugin can do it all, but it’s not free. The other 2 options are free, but each have some drawbacks. I’ll evaluate the options & help you choose the best one for your situation.

Can you clone a course on LearnDash?

Cloning courses is a little more challenging than you may think. While there are several free content cloning and duplication plugins for WordPress, they won’t work for LearnDash courses because of the lesson, topic & quiz associations that courses have. You can use either of these plugins to clone courses.

2. Add a Back Arrow

Let’s say you’re okay with the “Return to” text, but you’d like to show an arrow pointing backwards. This is a small indicator that you’re going back to the main course page.

3. Move the Link to the Top

Now let’s say you just want to move the link to the very top of your course navigation, above all the lessons & topics. We can do that with CSS as well.
