You are encouraged to consult Transferology, an online database that lists course equivalencies for most Colorado institutions and a wide range of non-resident universities for which information is available. More details about transfer evaluation are on the Registrar’s Office website.
The CSU record reflects credits granted in transfer but not the grades earned at other institutions.
Requests for Course Equivalency cannot be submitted for EDSS 300, EDSS 450, EDSS 473 and student teaching (All of these courses are mandatory at CSULB).
Transfer Equivalency Colorado State awards credit in transfer for college-level academic courses completed with a grade of C- or better at an institution accredited by a regional accrediting association. For students with credentials from domestic institutions, the official transfer evaluation is completed within 30 business days after admission.
Each course must be worth at least 3 semester units (or 4-5 quarter units) and be UC-transferable. Check ASSIST to see what courses from your community college are transferable. You need to earn a grade of C or better in each course or a Pass (P) grade if pass is equivalent to a C (2.00).
Transferable Courses A course that is California State University (CSU) transferable (or Baccalaureate level) is accepted for unit credit at any California State University campus. Transferability to CSU is determined by the community college that offers the course.
California Community Colleges or other approved institutions can certify up to 39 lower-division GE-Breadth semester (58.5 quarter) units. Certification means that the CSU will accept these courses to meet the CSU GE-Breadth areas designated by your CCC.
Many CSU campuses have higher standards for particular majors or for students who live outside their local admission area. Because of the number of students who apply, several campuses have higher standards (supplementary admission criteria) for all applicants.
There is no time stamp on how long college credits last in California. Rather, if you've attended a regionally accredited school anywhere in the country, you can transfer those credits to a college or university in a completely different state.
Generally speaking, college credits do not expire. However, several factors—including the age of those credits—will influence whether or not they are eligible for transfer into a particular program. It is important to remember that every institution has its own transfer credit policies.
Transferable courses are those designated for baccalaureate credit by the college or university offering the courses and accepted as such by the campus to which the applicant seeks admission.
Saylor Academy: CSU Global can accept course credits toward a CSU Global degree. StraighterLine and CSU Global have partnered to help provide more opportunities for students to take courses toward a CSU Global degree.

For admission into the UC system, students must have a grade point average (GPA)of 3.0 or better. For admission into the CSU system, students must have a GPA of 2.0 or better. A student's high school GPA is calculated using grades earned in all of their college preparatory A-G classes completed after the 9th grade.

ASSIST is an online searchable database that shows how course credit earned at a California Community College (CCC) will transfer to a California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) campus. ASSIST is an important resource for answering these important questions about courses taken at a CCC:
Using the most current academic year available in the dropdown, select your community college and SF State using the two "Agreements with Other Institutions" search fields. Then select a specific SF State major.
In the "Transferable Courses" search field, use the CSU GE-Breadth Certification Courses report for a specific CCC. SF State applies GE fulfillment just as it is reported on ASSIST.
In the "Transferable Courses" search field, use the CSU Transferable Courses report for a specific CCC.
Approved articulation is based on when a course is taken, so selecting the correct academic year is important. Summer terms are treated as the last term of an academic year (Fall - Spring - Summer).
