If you are itching to take a dip in Maumee Bay, the water is now safe for swimming. According to the Ohio Department of Health, all advisories are lifted. July 25, 2019 a no contact order was put in place due to toxic blue green algae.
Swimming and wading in the Maumee River is not recommended for children, pregnant/ nursing women, pets, or those with certain medical conditions. Advisory signs will be posted along the Maumee River at various access points.

The large family campground offers more than electric and full-hookup sites. Pets are permitted on designated sites. Reservations may be made up to six months in advance online or by calling (866) 644-6727.
There are no park entrance fees at Maumee Bay State Park.
Leashed dogs are allowed at Maumee Bay State Park, but are not permitted on or in the beach areas.
