Students can register and enroll in courses 12 months a year. FLVS Flex does not follow a traditional academic calendar, so the start time is flexible. When you register, you can select your preferred start date. We will do our best to place you on your preferred start date.
If you have recently requested a course and have not yet been assigned an instructor, you are able to remove the course request on your Student Dashboard by selecting Drop Course in the box for the respective course (see below)

The FLVS Learning Management System is now integrated with Turnitin.com and most work is automatically uploaded to the system. This database compares students' work against other students' work, as well as work found on the internet.
However, as a Home Education student, the parent is the school administrator and will be the one to calculate the GPA. As FLVS Flex is the curriculum provider, we do not calculate GPA. I highly highly recommend taking peer counseling on flvs it's literally the easiest class ever. There's only 23 assignments of those 23 you will be exempt from 6.
FLVS Flex allows students to take one or more online courses anytime during the year. It is open to homeschool students who want to customize their own schedule and curriculum or traditional students who take the majority of their courses at a public or private school.
Students can work at their own pace but will need to be in the course at least 14 days from their first assignment. Typical students complete the course in 4-6 weeks working approximately 2-3 hours per week. Students can arrange an accelerated schedule with their teacher and finish nearer the two-week mark.

If your child is currently Active (A) or Classroom Assigned (CA), your child must contact the instructor via phone or email to submit a request to be withdrawn. If your child is taking a FLVS course as part of the school day, your child must contact the school counselor before he or she may drop a course.
PNA (Pending Never Activated): the student has been placed with the teacher but has not yet completed the welcome call, the teacher has requested a withdrawal, and it is currently waiting approval/denial.
14 days activeIf customer sends written request of withdrawal to Global School at [email protected] within the grace period, customer may replace the withdrawn enrollment at no additional cost. The grace period is defined as 14 days active or less than 15% complete, whichever occurs first.
