From your dashboard, the link to view the course will show View Archived Course. If you're viewing the course, you can check if the course has ended in multiple places. The final course end date is posted on the course homepage and on the Dates tab. On the mobile app, you can check the Dates tab.
Certificates are not available for archived courses. Courses may re-appear, often in an updated version, after months or years of absence. You can Follow edX, the Institution, or the Subject for email announcements.
Access an Archived Course. You can enroll or continue to work in some courses even after the course end date. These courses are archived, which means that while you can access the course content, you cannot submit answers for graded problems or participate in course discussions.
There are no academic penalties associated with not finishing a course on edX. If you cannot complete a course, you have several options. If you are enrolled in the audit track of a course, you can simply stop taking the course. There is no need to unenroll.
Courses on both platforms are vetted by industry experts and are frequently updated and reviewed for quality. However, edX marginally edges out Coursera in terms of quality. When sampling a wide range of courses on both platforms, you'll find edX courses to be better designed to impact value.
Every course on edX.org, including those which are "self-paced" will have an end date. To earn a certificate on the verified track you will need to have a passing score by the end date.
edX certifications are well worth the money. Although most edX courses are free, receiving a certificate demonstrates to companies and educational institutions that you are serious about your job or education.
However, edX courses are highly recognized and valuable. The outstanding thing is that this courses are free, so valuable knowledge are acquired free and skills are learned free too. Getting the certificate is just a part of it.
With unlimited access and downloadable video files, edX courses are worth it if compared to the cost of attending it in person at the campus of a top school which starts at $70,000. If access to hundreds of quality courses from notable institutions at a low price is good enough, then edX is definitely worth it.
Roughly 1 percent of certificates granted by Harvard's and MIT's school-specific edX platforms were earned by users engaging in a form of cheating never before possible in traditional brick-and-mortar classrooms, according to a working paper released by researchers from the two schools.
If your access to the audit track has expired and the course is still open for verified enrollment, you may Upgrade to Verified from your edX Dashboard to regain access. If the upgrade option no longer appears or if you prefer not to upgrade, you may instead enroll again in a future session.
If you did not pass the course with the grade required to earn a verified certificate, you can enroll in a future session if it's offered again. Most edX courses repeat in new sessions. Please note you will need to pay the verified certificate fee again.
The University of Phoenix Online provides certificate courses in several specialization areas, so you don’t have to pursue a full bachelor’s or associate’s marketing program. Instead, the Graduate Marketing Certificate allows you to go beyond learning the ‘Four P’s” of marketing.

Upgrading to the verified track will give you access to all materials, including graded assignments, until the course end date. Upgrading will not change or extend the course end date. You’ll still need to pass the course before it ends in order to earn a certificate.
