Procedurally, a student must first go to the Admissions office or become a student using the web at www.ecc.edu. Once a student is in the system they must register with the Registrar’s office and submit the Cross Registration form supplied to them by their home college.

To withdraw from a course, request a withdrawal form from the Registrar’s Office or download from WebAdvisor. This form must be signed by the student and submitted to the Registrar’s Office for processing.

College Reading and Study Skills I or II (EN 010 or EN 011) or both are required of all students who place below a minimal level on the reading section. English courses for degree credit (except EN 114, EN 205, EN 206, EN 275 and EN 285) cannot be taken until students demonstrate competence in reading and writing skills.

To graduate with recognition from the Honors Program, students must complete at least three Honors courses and a capstone experience. Students will select three Honors-designated courses, with the option to take one Honors course in the student's major area of study.
Restrictions: Students may register for up to six (6) credit hours including lab. Class registration is based on the availability of space within the class. Any other class or classes that are registered for are the responsibility of the student.

Instructors may require that students attend extra- or co-curricular activities in connection with coursework. A full-time course load is 12 or more semester hours of credit (or six or more in summer). A part-time course load is less than 12 semester hours of credit (less than six in summer).
Students are expected to attend all classes in which they are enrolled and to know the attendance policy of each of their instructors. Under no circumstance should a student stop attending class without formally withdrawing. This can result in a failing grade on the student's permanent record.
If you're not satisfied with your grades in a class, you may be able to retake the class to get a higher grade. You'll have to satisfy certain conditions, and you should be aware that some four-year institutions don't honor ECC's retake policy. Meet with an academic advisor to discuss your options.
Course Substitution. You may be able to substitute a non-required course for one of your required courses if you can demonstrate that it covers similar content. You'll need to get written permission from the appropriate instructional dean and faculty member and place it on file with the Registration Office.
While you're on the waitlist, you're not enrolled in the class—so you won't have to pay tuition or fees. You can't attend class, either. If a spot hasn't opened up by the day after the payment due date for the term, the waiting list is discontinued.
If you'd like to receive credit for a course without the pressure of earning a top grade, you might consider auditing or taking it on a pass/no credit basis. It's a great way to learn something new without the pressure of assignments and tests—but keep in mind that audited courses don't count toward your degree requirements—review course auditing procedures for more information.

Credit from High School: College credit can be earned while attending high school in several ways: • Course credit can be transferred to a college while attending high school by earning a minimum grade of C- for a college course taken within the high school or taken at a satellite location.
An applicant who does not meet the regular minimum requirements for a programme but who is at least 25 years of age and who has at least five years working experience in the related field may apply for matriculation as a mature student. The granting of mature student status is not automatic.
A transcript is a record of the programme and grades for courses taken (passed / failed) by a student and any certification earned. Complete a Transcript Request Form available from Student Affairs Office, pay the fee at the Accounts Department and submit the form to the Student Affairs Office.
