Where can I find information about Erie Community College Admission?

Retention, graduation rates and transfer information are all indicators of student success and are available in the college’s Institutional Research Office, North Campus Room G-156. Erie Community College admits applicants based upon two categories of Admissions: matriculated or non-matriculated.

How do I apply to ECC outside of Erie County?

Residents of New York State outside of Erie County must submit a Certificate of Residence to the ECC Bursar’s Office each year prior to registration. The Certificate of Residence is obtained from the treasurer of the student’s home county. When received, tuition will be lowered to the resident rate, if received prior to the start of the semester.

Where to go after being advised?

After being advised, you will go to the Registrar's office to enroll in your selected classes. Proper educational planning increases the chances that you will succeed at ECC. You should consult a faculty advisor from your program anytime you have questions or concerns regarding progress toward your degree.

Can I take classes at ECC if I have a placement test?

If you take ECC's placement test and score below the minimum requirements for matriculation at ECC, you may still take classes but only as a non-matriculated student. As a non-matriculated student you are not eligible for financial aid and can only register for up to 11.5 credit hours.

What is an ECC transcript?

Your ECC transcript is the official record of your academic experience here, including the courses you attempted and the grades you earned. You might need it if you’re transferring to another school or applying for a job.

Does ECC process paper transcripts?
