Apr 06, 2017 · Advisory can be very similar to homeroom, in which case it may have little meaning for students. Or it can be the place that school culture is set by intentionally using the time to build the school culture you want. I have found that advisory is most powerful when it is a cornerstone of school culture.

Pre-requisite classes are very full and difficult to get in to (200-700 ppl), but once you are admitted into your department the classes get much smaller (30-60 ppl). The professor are full of knowledge and the TAs are almost always very helpful.
Prerequisites are usually listed at the end of the course description. Some sections may have additional requirements not listed in the general course description. Click on the blue class section link for the section for which you'd like to register.
Priority for registration is determined by the number of credits you have completed. The more credits you have completed, the earlier you are able to register. For example, seniors (students who have completed more than 134 credits) register before sophomores (students who have completed 45-89 credits).
A prerequisite means a course or other requirement that a student must have taken prior to enrolling in a specific course or program. A corequisite means a course or other requirement that a student must take at the same time as another course or requirement.
“Corequisite” means a condition of enrollment consisting of a course that a student is required to simultaneously take in order to enroll in another course.
3.59With a GPA of 3.59, University of Oregon requires you to be around average in your high school class. You'll need a mix of A's and B's, and very few C's. If you took some AP or IB classes, this will help boost your weighted GPA and show your ability to take college classes.
Freshman: Fewer than 30 credit hours. Sophomore: At least 30 credit hours but fewer than 60 credit hours. Junior: At least 60 credit hours but fewer than 90 credit hours. Senior: At least 90 credit hours.
Therefore, a student carrying 15 credit hours should plan to spend 30 to 45 hours each week studying beyond the classroom. With a web class, it is calculated the same way, a 3 credit class requires an additional 2 hours of outside work per credit, which equates to 5 to 9 hours of work per week for the class.
Practice testing can be used to study for other kinds of information, too.

A one-to-one function has an inverse that is also a function. There are functions which have inverses that are not functions. There are also inverses for relations. For the most part, we disregard these, and deal only with functions whose inverses are also functions. If the inverse of a function is also a function, ...
The inverse of a function differs from the function in that all the x-coordinates and y-coordinates have been switched. That is, if (4,6) is a point on the graph of the function, then (6,4) is a point on the graph of the inverse function.
A function normally tells you what y is if you know what x is. The inverse of a function will tell you what x had to be to get that value of y.
The inverse of some functions, especially those where there is only one occurrence of the independent variable, can be solved by undoing the operations. To undo the operations, you must not only reverse the order, but use the inverse operation.
Set notation is a system of symbols used to: 1 define elements of a set 2 illustrate relationships among sets 3 illustrate operations among sets
The empty set is a set that has no elements. We can also call it a null set. We denote the empty set by the symbol ∅ or by empty curly braces, {}.
A singleton is a set that contains exactly one element. Due to this reason, we also call it a unit set. For example, the set {1} contains only one element,1.
The power set of set A is the set that contains all the subsets of A. We denote a power set by P (A) and read it as ‘the power set of A.’
We say that set A is a proper subset of set B when every element of A is also an element of B, but there is at least one element of B that is not in A.
If you remember from this post, melody is how the high and low pitches of a song are pieced together. When we read music, we use alphabet names: ABCDEFG and put those alphabet letters on the staff. The higher the notes on the staff, the higher the pitch. The lower the notes, the lower the pitch.
Numbers are sung as solfege. So even though you see the melody written 1 2 3, you would sing do re mi unless singing the actual lyrics of the song.
I love that Chinese notation focuses so much on aural skills. The whole system is built around using a singable scale which contributes a lot to building listening skills along side reading skills. The note name and the note sound are the same.
