We sort skill scores into four proficiency levels:
They’re informed by Coursera platform data and subject matter experts, and customized by your organization. Your program administrator can’t see your exact skill score. They only see your proficiency level and the average proficiency of all learners in the organization learning a skill.
You can enroll in as many courses as you like. Does a Coursera certificate show a grade? No. You will get the following: Under Coursera if the course is for 6 months and if you complete it in 2 months then do you have to pay for all 6 months? Do they charge you all at once or after a month your account is debited for a specialization course? Hi!
Coursera is an online learning platform that has partnered with top learning institutions from across the globe to offer online courses and specializations, popularly known as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC). The courses are offered in over 30 languages, including English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Turkish.
If you’re new to Coursera, your initial skill score is zero, but it updates based on your performance on graded assessments. You don’t need to complete a course to increase your score or hit the proficiency target. We weigh performance on assessments by difficulty. If you pass harder assessments, your score will increase faster.
To learn more about this change, please refer to our blog post from October. As we emphasized at that time, we are committed to maintaining robust financial aid options so that every learner on our platform can receive a grade and Course Certificate for any Coursera course.
You can see your current grade by clicking the Grades tab in the sidebar of your course. You'll see your current grade at the top of the page once you receive a grade on at least one assignment. You'll also see a count of how many assignments you've completed and how many are coming up soon.
While most colleges consider a D a passing grade for pass/fail courses, some require a C. And pass/fail classes may not count toward major or general education requirements.
Do Coursera Grades Matter? In a sense, Coursera grades are not the most important thing and do not matter. Your certificate will not show if you got only, say, 70% on specific quizzes. But, it can include your grade if you want it to, especially if you got 100%.
A Course Certificate does not include: The final grade you got in the course.
In fact, a “D” is considered passing in both high school and college, as it's above 60%. While a passing grade may be as low as 60%, you will want to aim higher for many reasons. As a college student, you don't want to aim to barely pass a class.
* D (Poor/Failure): This is a failing grade for a graduate student and cannot be used to meet graduate degree requirements and will not count toward total credits earned.
70% to 100% is the highest grade, a mark of Distinction. 60% to 69% earns a Merit. 50% to 59% is Pass. Some schools Fail at 49% or below, while others fail at 39% or below.
When a student looks at their class they will see something called Current Grade. That is the grade based on the work that has been completed so far. It does not account for the work that has not been completed yet.
To get an Honors Recognition, you need to: Pay for a Course Certificate in that course. Earn a Course Certificate by completing and passing all required assignments. Complete and pass all honors assignments.
Normally, a student's grade is based on the average of multiple assignment attempts. But, if the teacher wants to add a grade for a certain student that is one other than the average, he/she can assign an overridden grade that takes precedence over all other grades and future attempts.
There are no penalties for missing deadlines. If you fall behind in an on demand course, you can adjust the suggested deadlines, or turn them off. If you fall behind in a session-based course, you may need to transfer to the next session, but your record of completed assignments will transfer with you.

In general, a good score is one that helps you get into your target school or supports your case for a merit scholarship. There are a couple of ways to think about your score.
Your SAT score is only one part of your college application. Depending on the school you’re applying to, it may not even be mandatory. If your scores are lower than your target score, you still have options. (And remember, the scorers on the lower end of the middle 50 for each school on your list also got in).
If a school you’re applying to uses superscoring, it means that they’ll combine your highest Math section score with your highest ERW score, even if they were from different test dates. Contact an admissions counselor to find out if a school uses superscoring.
The high end of the range (the 75th percentile score) for the school highest on the list is your target SAT score. If you can get a score at or near the 75th percentile for the most competitive school on your list, chances are you’ll be competitive at the other schools too.
For the 2021 admitted class at the University of Michigan, for example, the SAT score middle 50 is 1400 to 1540 [ 1 ]. That means that the middle half of admitted students scored within this range. The range is 680 to 760 for the ERW section, and 710 to 790 for the Math section.
If your score percentile is 50, that means 50 percent of test takers scored at or below your score.
What does this mean? A green benchmark score indicates a 75-percent chance of earning a C or higher in a first-semester college course in algebra, statistics, pre-calculus, or calculus (for Math), or history, literature, social sciences, or writing (for ERW).

If you’re new to Coursera, your initial skill score is zero, but it updates based on your performance on graded assessments. You don’t need to complete a course to increase your score or hit the proficiency target.
Proficiency targets are indicators of skill proficiency defined by your organization to communicate skill development goals and expectations.

Adjusted: Course staff, or a lateness policy, changed your grade for the assignment.
Didn't Pass: You completed the assignment, received a grade, and your grade is below the required passing score for that assignment.
