EFS IPsec Kerberos SMB The user can use a blank password If the minimum password length on a Windows system is set to zero, what does that mean? The user has to change the password every day. The user can use a blank password. The user never has to change the password. The user account is disabled. True
Microsoft's bouquet of software and online services come with a minimum password length requirement. Some of them even require the inclusion of special characters. Windows 10 has its set of guidelines, but they don't apply to local user accounts. Yes, you can create a local user account even without a password. However, it's risky.
If this setting is not defined, minimum password length may be configured to no more than 14. If this setting is defined and disabled, minimum password length may be configured to no more than 14.
If the number of characters is set to 0, no password is required. In most environments, an eight-character password is recommended because it's long enough to provide adequate security and still short enough for users to easily remember. A minimum password length greater than 14 isn't supported at this time.
A security policy is a set of system configuration rules that are applied by Group Policy.
c.The user can use a blank password.
A DoS attack ties up network bandwidth or services, rendering resources useless to legitimate users.
A security policy should clearly state the desired rules, even if they cannot be enforced.

If this setting is defined and is greater than the minimum password length setting, and the length of a new account password is less than this setting, an audit event will be issued.
In earlier versions of Windows, the Group Policy UI did not enable setting minimum required password lengths longer than 14-characters. However, in April 2018, we released the Windows 10 updates that added support for greater than 14-characters in the Group Policy UI as part of updates such as:
Enforcement of minimum password lengths of 15-character or more on Windows Server, version 2004 domain controllers (DCs).
Note Until this is corrected, the domain will enforce a smaller MinimumPasswordLength setting of 14.
Use Windows 10, version 2004. The new Group Policy settings for enforcement is included in this version. Use these workstations to deploy updated Group Policies.
Some customers who installed the April 2018 releases, and superseding updates, found that they still could not use greater than 14-character passwords. Investigation identified that additional updates needed to be installed on DC role computers servicing the greater than 14-character passwords that were defined in the password policy. The following updates enabled Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, version 1607, and the initial release of Windows 10 domain controllers to service logons and authentication requests with greater than 14-character passwords:
The Minimum password length policy setting determines the least number of characters that can make up a password for a user account. You can set a value of between 1 and 14 characters, or you can establish that no password is required by setting the number of characters to 0.
Permitting short passwords reduces security because short passwords can be easily broken with tools that do dictionary or brute force attacks against the passwords.
In most environments, we recommend an eight-character password because it's long enough to provide adequate security, but not too difficult for users to easily remember. This configuration provides adequate defense against a brute force attack. Using the Password must meet complexity requirements policy setting in addition to the Minimum password length setting helps reduce the possibility of a dictionary attack.

Types of password attacks include dictionary attacks (which attempt to use common words and phrases) and brute force attacks (which try every possible combination of characters). Also, attackers sometimes try to obtain the account database so they can use tools to discover the accounts and passwords.
Password length as prescribed by you in the above step. The default value is 6 characters long.
Double-click on the file Minimum password length policy file to open it. You will notice it says 21 characters on the right, which is what we set in the step above in CMD.
Creating a local user account on the same computer allows you to access Windows offline without needing a Microsoft account. Local user accounts are local and don't need internet connectivity to allow access. That means account settings won't sync across devices and everything stays offline.
Using a password solves that, but people often use dumb passwords. Some popular 'dumb password' examples are birth date, house or license plate numbers, and even 1234. That is where password length can come in handy. Forcing users to use a password that's longer is always better. The FBI recommends that longer passwords, ...
A longer password offers more possible combinations, making it harder to crack but easier to remember. That's because it will take more computing power, and hence more time, to crack a longer password. And there is academic research to back this theory. Also on Guiding Tech.
Thankfully, Microsoft made things very flexible recently by giving more control to admins over how different aspects of local and online accounts are managed.

Note: While you can technically choose anything from 1-20 characters in length, try to choose something that provides adequate security and doesn’t make it too difficult for users to remember their passwords.
Double-click “Password must meet complexity requirements” to open up the properties menu. When the properties menu opens, click the radio button next to “Enabled” and then select the “OK” button when you’re finished. That’s all there is to it. You can now close the Group Policy Editor.
For your security , Microsoft already requires a minimum password length for all Microsoft accounts. Should you want to reinforce all local accounts, you can set a minimum password length for each user on Windows 10. Here’s how.
To make your accounts even more secure, you can enforce a maximum password age, which gets users to generate a new password after a length of time. RELATED: How to Set a Password Expiration Date in Windows 10.
