If you've made a lot of changes to a Course or its settings, you may wish to copy it for the new school year. To copy a Course, click the three dots and choose Copy Course:

Updating the Year for Due Dates and Access Controls

Copying Due Dates and Access Controls will copy the dates exactly, including the year. To update the year for these dates all at once:

Archive a Course

Click Courses in the left-hand menu to get to your Course page. Click the three dots next to a course and choose Archive. This will archive all sections of this course.

Retrieve an Archived Section

From the Teacher Page, click on the “Show All Sections" button to the right of the My Sections header.

Retrieve an Archived Course

On your Courses page, click My Archived Courses to view your archived courses. Click the three dots next to the course and click Unarchive.

Add a Co-teacher to Your Section

Sections on CodeHS can be co-taught by multiple teachers. This will give teachers the ability to view, and grade student work, as well as give them administrative privileges over the section.

Finding the SignUp Link for your Co-Teacher

From your section roster page, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the page to open Section Settings.

Removing a Co-Teacher

Our team is happy to remove co-teachers from your sections. If you would like to remove a co-teacher please contact [email protected].

Share your Course with Other Teachers with Teacher Permissions

You can also give other teachers access to your course to view, edit, and use in their own sections. This will allow teachers access to a course, but not access to student work in your section.

Co-Creating and Editing Shared Assignments

Co-teachers with edit permission can edit custom assignments in their shared courses. Learn more about permission in Adding a Co-Teacher to Your Section and Course.
