To delete a course: Access the Manage Courses tool from your Admin menu. Search for the required course. Click on the Delete option within the three-dot menu. Click on the Yes, delete the course button in the validation window that pops up.
Now using the Course Navgiation menu, go to the course settings page. Once you get there, look at the bottom right side of the page (see below). Click the link to delete your course. If you are a Canvas admin, you can delete the course manually (see above), or through SIS import using a CSV file.
In the Global Navigation menu (on left), click Courses and then All Courses. To favorite a course or courses, click the empty star next to each course name to add it to the Courses menu. To hide a course, click the filled star next to each course name to remove it from the Courses menu.
Select a Home Page, then click Choose and Publish You can unpublish the course by going to the Home page and clicking the Unpublish button. This will turn off student access to the course site.
On the My Courses page, select Details for the course you want to delete.Select Edit course details on the course details page.Select Delete course. You are prompted to confirm the deletion of the course.Select Delete course, or Cancel. The course is permanently deleted and no longer appears on the My Courses page.
View Concluded Course In a concluded course, instructors and students can access course content but can no longer participate in the course and the course is archived in a read-only state. Students may be restricted from viewing concluded courses.
Go to Dashboards > Cards. Click the three-dot menu to the right of the card you want to be deleted. Select Delete This Card....To delete a card from the View Card page:Go to the View Card page.Click Actions. Select Delete This Card.A warning will appear. Click Delete Card.
Click on the "Course Details" tab across the top. Editing "Name" will edit the long name of the course. Editing the "Course Code" will edit the short name of the course that appears across to top of the course site. Click "Update Course Details" at the bottom to save the changes.
Once you delete a course, the course will be completely removed from your institution's account and will not be viewable by you, prior students, or the account administrator.
Deleting a course is a course permission for manually created courses only. If the Permanently Delete this Course button does not appear in Course Settings and your course was not generated through a student information system (SIS), this setting has been restricted for your course. If you are an instructor, contact your admin for assistance.
Administrators can restore deleted courses if they know the Course ID number. You can locate your Course ID number at the end of your course URL (i.e. canvas.instructure.com/courses/XXXXXX).
Courses are not deleted from an account unless done so by you or another user at your institution.
Additionally, if you have dropped a course, it may take up to 24 hours for your enrollment status to update in Canvas.
Your Canvas Dashboard displays your active courses. Active courses are courses that are published and that are within the course start and end dates. The Dashboard may display past courses that are still favorited as well as courses that have no specified end date.
You cannot delete a section with users enrolled. Note: Sections may be added by your institution's student information system (SIS). If a section in your course includes an SIS ID, you may not have permission to delete sections.

Pages is designed to open to the front page for the course, if there is a front page selected. To select a page from the Pages Index, click the View All Pages button.
Select the checkbox of the page or pages you want to delete [1]. Then click the Delete button [2].
When you reset course content, you reset all content in the course including: Course ID—external URLs will no longer direct back to the course unless they are manually changed. Course details and enrollments will remain intact within your course.
Note: Course content cannot be reset in Blueprint Courses.
If you have permission as an instructor , you can reset course content with your course settings in Canvas. However, resetting course content permanently removes all content and it cannot be recovered.
Course details and enrollments will remain intact within your course. Following the reset, your course will be unpublished and will not be visible to students. If you added the course to the Dashboard, it will still appear in the Dashboard after a reset.
