Register for the course online, over the phone, or in person. Be sure to identify your school when registering. Access the course through our website using your BYU Net ID (username) and password.
BYU accepts concurrent enrollment (college credit earned during high school) credit from accredited colleges and universities. The credit earned must show on an official college/university transcript.
Independent Study University Credits earned in our 200+ accredited university courses can transfer to BYU and almost all other U.S. schools.
How will my BYU-Idaho credits transfer to other schools? Transfer of credit is determined by the school receiving the credit. We encourage you to contact the registrar's office of the school(s) you're interested in attending to find out how they handle transfer work from BYU-Idaho.
Transfer student with 24 or more graded credits – You will be required to submit transcripts of any college/university work you have completed.

All students—whether they are enrolled in an undergraduate school or not—can take BYU Independent Study courses and earn transferable credits anytime and anywhere.
If an equivalency has not been made, the credits will transfer to BYU–Idaho as "Elective Credit." Courses from institutions that are not regionally-accredited are generally not transferable to BYU–Idaho.
A completed general associates degree from an accredited college/university will generally fulfill most of BYU's General Education requirements.
How do I transfer in CLEP test scores? Students need to request that their CLEP Test Scores be sent to BYUI from the College Board. Transfer Evaluation does not accept CLEP test results from other university or college transcripts. They must be from the College Board.
BYU accepts 57.3% transfer applicants, which is competitive. To have a shot at transferring into BYU, you should have a current GPA of at least 3.86 - ideally you're GPA will be around 4.01. In addition, you will need to submit standardized test scores.
A minimum 3.0 college grade point average is required of transfer applicants. Official Transcripts: If you have fewer than 24 semester/36 quarter hours, the submission of official high school transcripts is required.
Sending AP Scores to BYU Contact AP Scores and Reporting Services to request that your scores be sent to BYU (there will be a fee for this service). If your high school has included your AP scores on your transcript, request that they mail us a transcript.
