A student may retake a course in which a grade of "D," "F," "I," "U," or "WF" was received. If a student retakes such a course at the University, it must be retaken under the same grading option as selected initially. If the course is retaken for the purposes of auditing, no grade will be given.

The grade of D is a passing grade in most instances but some departments do require a “C” or better to advance in a course sequence. This information can be found on the checksheet for the degree program or in the Undergraduate Catalog.
When your cumulative grade point average (GPA) is at least 2.0 or better, you will be in good academic standing. If your GPA falls below a 2.0, you will be placed on either academic warning, probation, suspension or dismissal.
During other sessions, students may enroll in courses during the first three calendar days of a given session; five calendar days are allowed for a student to change the grading option or drop a course with no record on the transcript.
